This is a National Vocational Qualification which means that this qualification has been developed to be achieved in a real work environment. You need to be employed to undertake this qualification. This qualification will enable you to demonstrate and recognize your skills, knowledge, and understanding and to demonstrate your competence in a real workplace environment so you can work as a Construction Site manager within the construction industry.

After completing this qualification, you will be able to apply for a Manager (Black) CSCS card.

Entry requirements

In order to meet the assessment criteria candidates should be working in the role of construction site manager in building and civil engineering, highways maintenance and repair, residential development, conservation or demolition.

Assessment

Assessment is the process of measuring a candidate’s skill, knowledge, and understanding against the standards set in the qualification. This qualification is competence-based, candidates must demonstrate the level of the competence described in the units.

The qualification will be assessed in line with the Construction Skills Consolidated Assessment Strategy and will be internally assessed by an appropriately experienced and qualified Assessor. The assessment process is conducted through our e-portfolio system and it is formed of two parts:

Knowledge – the candidates are required to complete a workbook
Practical – the candidates are required to submit evidence from their work environment such as RAMS, minutes meetings, etc.
